Monolith and Preset News - Camera Raw Versions coming soon
I want to thank everyone for the great response to Monolith for Lightroom which launched last week. It’s already become my most popular set of presets and it’s not even a week old, so a huge thank you to everyone who bought a copy. If you follow me on twitter you may have seen that I’ve extended the launch sale for the rest of this week and weekend, so there’s still a chance to get Monolith at the special launch price. (€10 - Normal price is €15, so a third off)
In other preset news, I’ve had quite a few requests for Camera Raw versions of my sets, so I’m working on them and hope to be able to launch them soon. I’m creating camera raw versions of my free Fuji Sharpening and Profile presets too, so I hope to have them available soon. Stay tuned.
Speaking of Monolith, I was playing around with some X-Trans images from my XE–1 which were processed in Iridient Developer using my “flat” technique. I had taken some nature images in the local park and just out of interest I tried applying some of the Monolith looks to them. It works really well. I had never really tried doing nature style black and white images before, but it gave an interesting dimension to the images. It’s also interesting because I had designed Monolith primarily for Raw files, but it works really well with tiffs (and Jpegs) from Iridient Developer too. I must try some Jpeg files straight from the camera. (note to self!) It adds an extra level of dimension to the shots. Here’s a few examples:
