Photo of the Day: Angry Seagulls

There is a large and angry river that runs through the city (the River Corrib) and there's a lovely river walk that runs along it. I was walking up that way one day trying out my then new 18-200mm Nikon lens on my D90. There were lots of fishermen fishing from the banks and the seagulls were fighting in the river, flying angrily to and from the area where the fishermen were fishing. It was a sunny day, but thew light was cool, but it worked out really well because the contrast of the blue water worked perfectly against the white feathers of the seagulls. I re-processed this shot recently using VSCO Film 4 and the faux pro via gave it some extra punch.
