Video: Shooting a photo walk with a Fuji X-Pro2
I was having an impromptu photowalk the other day and I decided to record my progress with a GoPro mounted to the camera’s hot-shoe. This is the result! I started out with the intent of doing some street photography, but I ended up walking around a local park, because the Autumn colours were so nice, and the light was just right too.
The funny thing was, that when I was shooting I didn’t think I was getting anything particularly great, but when I got back and processed the images, I ended up with far more keepers than I thought I would. Photos were taken with a Fuji X-Pro 2 and a variety of lenses. I changed lenses a few times, and at one point I was using an old Nikon macro lens (which I’ve talked about before).
My GoPro is a hand-me-down first generation one, so the video quality isn’t great, but I’ve put lots of the final photos into the video too. I’m actually pretty happy with how came out, but I would love to have a newer GoPro, or even a Sony RX-0 for sting these kinds of videos.
The final photos, some of which are posted below, were processed using Capture One. I actually have a video about processing the files too for top tier Patreon members as part of the monthly editing video series.
