Apple Raw Compatibility Update 6.19 Adds support for Fuji X70 and X-E2S and Sony A6300

It seems to have been a long time since Apple has released a Raw compatibility update for OS X and I was beginning to get a bit worried, but just as I was about to start investigating the issue, a new update has just popped up in the Software Update panel of OS X.

The new update adds support for recently announced cameras including the Nikon D5 and D500, the Sony Alpha 6300 and the Fuji X 70 and X-E2S. Notably absent is support for the X-Pro 2.

Here's the complete list of what's been added:

Supported by Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.19

  • Fujifilm X-E2S
  • Fujifilm X70
  • Leica S (Typ 007)
  • Leica X-U (Typ 113)
  • Nikon D5 (Nikon RAW L format only)
  • Nikon D500 (Nikon RAW L format only)
  • Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS60 / DMC-TZ80
  • Sony Alpha ILCE-6300
  • Sony Alpha SLT-A68

If you have OS X set to install updates automatically, it may already be installed. Otherwise you can find it in the updates pane of the App store application on your mac.
