Skylum has just announced a new application called Luminar AI. This is a separate application from the current version of Luminar, and according to the available information, they are aiming it to “reinvent” photo editing by using artificial intelligence.

I have been a bit busy over the past few weeks, so I am a little behind with the announcement of the next version of Aurora HDR from Skylum Software. Also, given that the press release was pretty much covered on every site out there, I didn’t want to post something about it without trying it first. So having played with the beta for a little while now, I made a quick video to give you a run through of the new version.

Luminar 2018 Update Released

Skylum software has just announced the first Luminar 2018 update for..well, 2018! The update focuses mainly on bug fixes and adds support for more languages on the Windows version. There are no new features apart from some additional camera support, so sorry, no sign of the DAM side of thing yet :-(

A First Look at Luminar 2018

Today, Skylum, the company formerly known as MacPhun, announced the next version of its flagship application Luminar. Luminar 2018, which is now available for pre-order, is a significant upgrade over the current version, and I have been lucky enough to get to use a beta version over the last little while. To me, this isn’t an incremental update, but a dramatic upgrade, and it almost feels like an entirely new application.
