Capture One 21 14.4 Update brings back Export Tool Tab

Capture One 21 14.4 Update brings back Export Tool Tab

Capture One has just announced the latest upgrade to Capture One 21. Version 14.4 is available now, and the biggest feature is that it brings back support for the Export tool tab.

When the new export workflow was added in the last release, many users were disappointed (i.e. angry) that the Export tool tab was removed and this affected many people's workflows. Version 14.4 brings this back although you will have to manually add it back to your interface if you want it.

To do this, right click on the empty area beside the other tool tabs, and from the menu choose Add Tool Tab > Export. This should add it back to your interface. If you have a custom workspace, make sure to save it with the updated layout.

There are a few other things in this release too:

  • Sigma tethering: Tethering support for Sigma fp and Sigma fp L
  • Password protection for Capture One Live: Adds the option to protect sharing sessions with a password.
  • Improved Catalog performance: Collections now load up to 600% faster on Windows and 300% faster on Mac. Please note, this does not improve loading/opening the Catalog itself.
  • Easy Magic Brush adjusting: Adds the shortcut actions to resize and change other parameters currently implemented for the Adjustment and Heal/Clone Brushes to the Magic Brush.
  • Fujifilm tethering improvements: Allows changing parameters of camera settings while in LiveView.

There is also some new camera and lens support with this release:

Cameras

  • Fujifilm GFX 50S II
  • Nikon Z fc
  • Olympus Pen E-P7
  • Pentax 645Z

Lenses

  • Sigma 20mm F1.4 DG HSM Art (Sony E)
  • Sigma 85mm F1.4 DG DN Art (Sony E)
  • Sigma 105mm F2.8 DG DN MACRO Art (Sony E)
  • Sigma 28-70mm F2.8 DG DN (Sony E)
  • Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8L IS II USM + 1.4x III

You can get the update now by choosing the option to check for updates in the menu or going to your account on the Capture One page.
