Video: How to Create Your Own Custom Colour Profiles in Capture One
If you use Capture One, but find yourself tweaking the colours of your images a lot, then there’s actually a really useful feature in the software. You can create your own custom colour profile. This is sort of like being able to adjust the calibration like you can in Lightroom only it works in a different way.
If you’re unhappy with your camera’s default colours, and you don’t want to go through the technical process of using something like a calibration target, and calibration software, then you can use the tools within capture one to create your own custom profiles. In the video, I show you how to do this.
It’s actually really straightforward. You use the colour tools to tweak the colours and then you can save this result as a new .icc colour profile. You can actually do some complex colour correction in Capture One as it allows you to sample multiple points and correct these. But rather than try and explain it, I show you in the video.
