Last week I started having some weird things happen to one of my Instagram accounts. Instagram suddenly started sending me emails for my “Streets of Dublin” Instagram account in Russian. At first, I thought it musty be a hack or someone had breached my account, but there is a whole thread on Reddit about it from people having the same problem.
I was trying to write the title for this post and make it not sound like a spam ad, which is what I thought when I first saw this, but its true. Adobe is offering two months off for creative cloud subscribers to help creatives deal with the current global situation. I read about this on a tweet, and I thought it was a joke or a scam, but it was from a reliable source, and I tried it and it works (at least it did a few days ago).
It’s Christmas Eve and the Christmas lights are on, the candles are lit, and the dim winter light outside is making everything cosy. I’m taking a break from the blog, and youtube and everything else for a few days over the Christmas Season, and so I wanted to wish all of my readers who celebrate Christmas a happy Christmas from Ireland, and for those who don’t a happy holiday season, and Happy new year. I also wanted to thank everyone for all of your support during the year.
I’ve been a bit out of the loop the last few days, as I’ve been dealing with a nasty bronchitis bug that has decided to pick the worst possible time to take me out of action. I was supposed to be travelling, but Instead I’m feeling sorry for myself and enjoying a tasty diet of antibiotics and lemsip. I was trying to keep my blog updated, and store ticking over, so if I’m slow in responding to comments please forgive me! I have managed to do a few things though, and so, here are a few updates:
Having been pretty much home bound for the past two weeks thanks to a nasty chest infection, I’ve been going slightly crazy from cabin fever! I’ve been having the urge to photography something….anything at this point, and this got me thinking about things to photograph when you’re stuck at home, and in particular something I had been dabbling in recently: toy photography.
Over on my Photo Journal I posted some images I took recently while out in the local parks here after a rain storm. I had taken these with my old Canon 5d Mark 1 and I processed them using the QuckNeg presets in my QuickLux 2 pack. This kind of deep green, overcast look is exactly what I was trying to create when I was developing these looks.
