My T-Pan Lightroom Black and White Film Presets are available for sale again

My T-Pan Lightroom Black and White Film Presets are available for sale again

When I closed my old digital download store a few years ago, I stopped selling most of my Lightroom presets. I figured that the market for these was pretty much saturated and that there wasn’t really any point. However, recently I’ve been receiving some requests for some of my older packs, and after using m T-Pan set on the most recent episode of Street Photo Diary, I’ve decided to make T-Pan available again.

My best Lightroom Black and White Presets

When I designed T-Pan originally I did so by carefully visually analysing and matching the results I got from scanning professional grade black and white film. I then used this as a basis to create a set of virtual “films” that had the look of real monochrome negative, but also worked well in the digital realm. Each of these 10 virtual films, also comes with three variations for different strengths of the film look, mimicking (but not exactly matching) .

I’ve also included a version specifically for Fuji files, using Fuji specific profiles as the starting point. It doesn’t use Across by default though, instead using Astia as a base. The reason for this is so that it would match the non-fuji versions, but you can also experiment with them by using different profiles as the foundation.

Of all the presets I’ve made over the years, T-Pan is the set I’m most proud of. It gives a really nice rich black and white, and it’s my go-to set every time I want to use a black and white look in any of my own photos. I liked them so much I even ported them to Capture One.

What’s different in the re-issue of T-Pan for Lightroom

The Lightroom version of T-Pan hasn’t been on sale in quite a while, ever since I closed my old store a while ago. I didn’t want to just put the old ones up for sale again, as they were designed for an earlier version of Lightroom and a lot has changed, especially the installation process. So, I’ve updated the format of these, and the installation instructions. They are now directly compatible with all the current versions of Lightroom and Photoshop. However, they no longer work with pre-subscription versions of Lightroom.

If you had previously bought T-Pan from my old store, the looks themselves are still the same, so you don’t need to re-purchase them if you already have them.
