Video: Fujifilm X100 Retro Review
I was recently discussing the original X100 with a friend on twitter, and we were talking about how it is still a really great camera, even though it does have a few limitations. With that in mind, I wanted to put together a little short retro review, so In this video, I take a look at the original “classic” Fujifilm X100.
With the X100 available at very reasonable prices second hand, the camera is a great and inexpensive way to try out the Fuji look and see why people love Fuji cameras. I’ve been keeping an eye on the X100 on online auction sites (eBay etc) for a while (I was considering selling mine at one point) and I’ve seen the price fluctuate from around €200 to a little over €400. In local markets, I’ve seen it cheaper. There was one in a local camera store here in Dublin a while ago for €199 second hand, so if you shop around you may be able to get a good deal on one.
On a side point, I’ve been working on trying to broaden the range of videos that I do too, and so this is my first attempt at doing one of these review kinds of videos. I shot and edited the whole thing myself, and it’s a little rough around the edges, so please be gentle with the comments! If you do like this, giving it a thumbs up will really help, and if you haven't already, please
Here is a selection of images (some of which are featured in the video) that I have shot with the X100 over the course of using it:
