Dublin In Cinemascope: Part 2

I was out taking some photos in and around the city today and when I was back processing them I thought I'd have a little more faux doing some faux cinemascope crops. Basically it's just a wide crop done to the cinemascope aspect ratio of 2.35:1. It is essentially a pano style image, but because it uses the same aspect ratio we're all used to in the cinema it gives images a nice epic feel to them, even if the subjects themselves are a bit tame. Anyway, it's just a bit of visual fun for a friday afternoon so enjoy! Liffey and the Four Courts

As you can see the light was all over the place today. The sun was constantly coming and going so I had some fun keeping up with the constantly changing white balance.

Now that's ironic!

All these shots were taken with a Canon 5D Mark II and the 24-105. I've been taking the Canon out more and more lately. Ever since Lightroom 4 came out most of the issues I had with it can be solved with a simple preset in Lightroom. Anyway, that's another story for another day.

While I think of it - if you missed it here's the previous set of fake cinemascope images.
