Alpine Ridge

Alpine Ridge

The last time I went to Glendalough to shoot has ended up being the gift that keeps on giving. Every now and then I go back to my collection of images from the day and discover something else, or rediscover a shot that I’d dismissed. In this case I discovered a series of shots of the tree line that I had previously glossed over.

I actually stumbled on these by accident too. The unedited versions are kind of dull and boring, but I was experimenting in Lightroom with some colour profiles, and I was actually looking for a cover shot for a different project, when I applied one of my [“Alpine”] presets to one of the photos, and suddenly it brought out a dark and moody picture that I kind of liked. So, with that in mind I looked through the rest of the collection to find some more shots that I could apply this look to, and so a series was born!
