How to add a front facing screen to the Sony A6000 for £100

How to add a front facing screen to the Sony A6000 for £100

I’m really enjoying shooting more Vlog style videos recently, and I’ve been trying a few different options for recording. All of the cameras that I have that record video, have some limitations, but I didn’t want to have to buy a new camera, and so I wanted to try and make the best with what I have. Out of the one's I've tried, I prefer the A6000 for this kind of thing, but it lacks a front facing screen. After a bit of research I found a really cheap option on Amazon.

In this video I take a quick look at the Viltrox DC-50 which I found on Amazon for £95. It’s a 5” lcd screen, and while the quality isn’t great, it’s perfect for framing and making sure your shots are in focus. The screen uses sony batteries, and the version I got comes with a battery, but not a charger, but those are pretty cheap too, and here’s the one I got. I also got a different cable, as the one that came with it was a bit inflexible and I felt it would put too much pressure on the port.

Speaking of videos, I recently passed 1000 subscribers on my YouTube channel. While this isn’t a huge amount compared to many others, it’s a milestone for me, especially as I have only really been putting in the effort into it for the last few months. Crossing this threshold unlocks several features for Youtubers so it’s a small achievement, but I’m still pleased, so thank you to everyone who has subscribed. the next goal is 10,000! If you haven’t subscribed already, please stop by and follow my channel!
