The Weather Gods

I had been cooped up inside a lot lately, tied to the chain that is my job. With hours in-front of the computer slowly rolling by I was beginning to feel the call. The call of the camera. The urge to get behind the lens once more. The mystical feeling of seeing the world through high performance glass, separated by an invisible shield of the art of photography. It called to me. I wanted to be back behind the lens but the ticking clock of a looming deadline forbade me to leave. So I prayed.

I prayed to any god who would listen. Let me have an opportunity to return to my natural realm, if only for a second.

The weather gods answered.

Infront of me out my window a magnificent vista of swirling clouds and sheets of rain opened up before me. Distant thunder rolled (or so I imagined) challenging me to do it justice.

And so I answered the call.

My trusty Nikon in Hand I braved the winds of the balcony and let natures fury roll through my lens and into the electrons that would hide away on a sliver of silicon.

Thank you oh gods of storm and rain for the interlude. I hope I've done you justice.
